Genesis Gx Channel Er How To Set Them

I know there is RetroarchLibretro but I cant really change my controlssetup like a real Genesis controller and all of the options the Wii version supports I cant find anything on how to set them and seems limited via retroarch.

GX seems to be a bit more solid and better supportedcompatible.

I know ekeeke is busy and doesnt seem interested as I am sure someone else would do it, so Im not bugging him but just curious if it is possible.

As far as I can tell theres no way to manually set the region.

EDIT: That being said, the only ROM Ive come across where this is actually an issue is the Time Trax proto, and that was quite easily fixed by ROM hacking.

A bigger shortcoming for the all round emulation experience is the lack of 32x support.

They both do things like direct modeling of buses to provide a very high degree of accuracy in a striaghtforward way at the cost of performance.

Exodus is a little different in that it is apparently designed to be more generic (more of a framework for making such emulators I guess) and is multithreaded.

Genesis Gx Channel Er Full Speed Emulation

Exodus does require a very fast machine to run though (my 3.2GHz Phenom II X4 is not fast enough for full speed emulation) for just basic Genesis emulation.

I imagine the situation will be even worse ifwhen 32XSega CD support get added Im also working on a Genesis emulator called BlastEm.

Its Linux only at the moment (though that will change in a couple of releases) and its rather far from the ultimate accuracy goal (FM in particular needs a lot of work still).

But I do hope that it may someday be the ultimate Genesis emulator for general usage.

For homebrew development or hacking though, something with a debugger is very helpful.
